i'd love him to sign for us hes a good all round player that gives 100 % and could score a few goals at this level

I agree Sven in fact I think he would be an ideal replacement if Whitts was to go.

I'd sign him yes, good play-breaker, hard worker, decent player, BUT.

1. He won't come. He's in a Premiership squad, plenty of time left on a high paid contract. Got a lot to risk coming to us.

2. Not as a replacement for Whitts - completely different types of playes Pratley is a box to box worker, more like Gunnarson. He's not in the same class as Whitts as a ball player.

Pratley was mentioned before. I like him as a player but not the type of player we need at the moment, and IMO I dont think he would be the right replacement for Whitts if he did leave!

Hmmm, I'd forgotten he had been mentioned and I have to admit I DID say 'yes' to him recently ( ) as he has the promotion 'habit' in the last two years (Blackpool and The Jacks) ;)

Wouldn't want him or Pratley if it were solely to replace Whitts though, as I don't think SOME of our supporters have EVER given Whitts the credit he deserves (and I often felt the same about McPhail)

Check out his 'stats' and you will see how consistent he actually is....

VERY important to Malky's team and that (for me) says EVERYTHING

The guy who was regularly on the bench for both the Jacks and Blackpool at this level? Have you actually seen Joe Mason play?

Whitts is a box to box player, breaking beyond the strikers is he?

Pratley was overrated. Made nice breaks forward at times, sure, but face reality. He was a regular sub for the Jacks when they went up, hardly a consistent first teamer. At Bolton shown he's not Prem quality.

100% Yes, Always rated him.

Pratley and Whittingham couldnt be further apart in their styles.Definetly not a replacement.

Dobbie on the other hand would be more suited.Very good player and about your level at the moment.Would be a great acquisition for your side and the impetus to push you on.Im sure we'd consider the move too,if asked.

That's what I like about football; opinions that differ according to personal preferences

I NEVER said either (Pratley or Dobbie) would take the PLACE of Whitts; I simply stated that I wouldn't have EITHER at the EXPENSE of Whitts

As someone mentioned above he has been sub at two clubs for over a year now, thats a concern.

He's made 16 appearances this season in the Premiership. 8 starts, and 8 from the bench. We have no chance

i would take pratley. personally, the one player i would like to bring in (if were talking about the centre midfield) would be ledley.

orrrrrrr........ lets get a out and out winger in, so we can push cowie into a more central position.
