In fairness Annis, they got it on a good night. Excellent end-to-end game, and superb atmosphere, helped in no small part by the big West brom following.

The atmosphere last night was as good as it mwas on most nights at NP, even my 8-year old boy was standing on his chair joining in with the singing.

Its a decent ground, it just needs US to make it rock.

I loved NP too Annis, but the truth is NP had some awful nights.

Watching them lose 1-0 to Darlington on a rainy night in the mid/late 80's with no-one singing and nothing to sing about. 2-3000 in a ground that could hold 40000.

There were some great days but it was dead on some occassions.

Its gone now and we all need to get behind the side wherever we are sitting.

On the train home from Chelsea I met a few baggies fans that had been to Reading away. They were saying how much they were looking forward to the game against us, and having the usual banter with the Cardiff fans on both sides. Then I told them how the away stand is now next to the families. They seemed just as pissed off about it as us

(They were also asking us how on earth Peter Ridsdale is still allowed to work in football, but thats another story)

Im quite pleased with alot of theyre comments the majority thought it was the best new ground theyve been to! Ninian park will never be forgotten but it takes years to generate a good atmosphere like ninian.Give it a few years and im sure the place will be bouncing ive seen enough potential in the atmosphere especially last night and the cup games to get the place rocking
