Palace ticket sales

Sat Dec 31, 2011 5:58 pm

Just bought my 7 tickets for the home leg and couldnt help but notice how green the seating plan was looking (other than the away end)
https://www.eticketing.co.uk/cardiffcit ... emref=3325
I was expecting to see a few yellow panels in Ninan and Canton.
Do you think we can get a 20,000+ crowd for this, or will we have to settle for 15/16,000?

If we win the first leg I can guarantee you that the 2nd leg will sell out.

Sadly i think many are waiting for the result at Selhurst Park. Had the draw been the other way round then i think we would nearly be sold out for the home leg. But £30 Is a bit steep. But only a fiver More than ours after you add on the handling fee, Oh i forgot i paid £31.50 for my ticket

As it stands we've sold just over 8k for the home leg and around 2,500 for the away leg!

Exactly how I feel. People are blaming Xmas but had we been playing Man Utd then itvwould behold out already. Also, people saying "I'll see how the first leg goes before I buy my home ticket" is getting to me! I'm not sure they realise how plastic that makes them? It's a SEMI FINAL of a major domestic trophy and a chance to getvto Wembley AGAIN. Worst thing is, these people that won't bother to support thevteam at either game hen they need it, will be more than happy to get a Wembley ticket if we get there!

Come on folks our home leg isn't to the end of January so where is the Rush ? Palace is on the 10th that is why they have nearly sold out. Some People are most probs waiting for payday. Dont Panic we will sell out!! Again why the rush ?

Steve,

I agree hopefully we will sell out.

But if it had been MAN UTD or MAN CITY or LIVERPOOL,how would the ticket sales have gone by now ?

Of course it would have sold out by now for those because how often do we play those clubs? Once every five years for one of them if we're extremely lucky.

Compared to Palace who we're playing twice in the league, playing twice in the league cup, could draw them in the 4th round of the FA cup and could end up in play offs against them.

Yes i agree because everyone would be worried it would sell out fast. But the reality its Palace and the Fans know there is time. What matters most is that we fill the stadium come match day :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

It should not matter who the opposition is, its the Semi-Final of the Carling Cup, I reckon we will get 26,000 if we win or draw the away leg.

Thanks to Carl's update I know that we've already sold 15,600 for this game (including Palace fans). So if we get at least a draw at Selhurst Park - preferably a score draw or win if away goals is applied - we should sell out. As it is a major cup SEMI-FINAL :ayatollah:

It's after Xmas and people are short on cash especially if they wanna make one of the away trips coming up.

Others will wait for the result. I'd be amazed if we don't hit 22k

Unlike the league tho the attendance announced should be very near the attendance in the ground :ayatollah:

don't forget its also live on BBC TV on 24th, this will keep some away, I live in Sussex and its 250 miles to CCS and 80 miles to Selhurst. I have both my tickets, and for the record I am a season ticket holder at CCS and have been for years.

No matter what the result at selhurst, I am a city fan and will be there.

Success is in the hands of our supporters

I dont see the problem here.
I havent bought my ticket yet and neither have any of my mates but we all fully intend on going.
if it was man utd yes i would have bought my ticket by now cos i know it would have sold out in a day but it's not it's palace so theres no rush i'll get one after pay day

I'm just waiting for pay day on Friday....so I can buy both home and away leg tickets.....you probably find that ticket sales will jump a few days before the game. I think we will have a comfortable 20k at home, not quite sure about being a sell out, mainly because the students wont attend due to exams, and possibly school next day for the kids. So there are a few factors.....if it was a Saturday game, then i'd expect it to be a sellout otherwise.
