Only thing I have heard from it is his wife going on about how angry she was that he got the sack when the daughter was getting married. A bit OTT from the wife there.

Didn't even know Jason Mohammad interviewed him. What was said in the interview?

Boring....can well believe it.

Don't suppose DJ blame himself slightly for any of the goings on last season?

On the cheap......not too sure what to make of that comment. is he really saying it was their idea to bring in loans instead of permanent players?

So basically he is saying if he could have brought players then he would have got us up?

How it comes across....but leave enough room to deny it....very good was DJ at that.

Well if that is the case then I think it is a weak argument unless he thought he could get better players in by buying them outright. Yet I would struggle to see how he could have got better than Oli, Drinkwater, Keogh, Koumas, Naylor and Bellamy who could have all been classed as premeirship players. I don't recall anyone saying no to any of them when they first came here.

Yeah he meant that there were better in the buying market available than what he could bring in through the loan market at the time.

Yes well I would imagine him saying that.

What he does not mention is the fact the team that got to the play off final was very much the team he was taking into the next season, excluding Ledley. The lost of Ledley was soon replaced by the names above. Loans or not all pundits expected us to go up as champions. i remember Savage on 606 first saying we should go up as champions then a few months later when things were not going well for saying it would be a massive failure if we fail. Jones had the best squad near enough in the division but he failed to manage it.
