Laptop Help!

Hi, I had a new HP Pavilion G series laptop for christmas and its already playing up! When I tried turning it on earlier it powers up but the screen stays black and the fan goes off! Does anyone know how to fix this or had this happened to anyone?

Don't do anything to it.If its faulty take it back and demand a replacement or your money back-your well within your rights.

I recommend to take it back as well .. sounds like the easiest option

Might be the graphics card.

I've seen this a few times where basically it's just crashed. Make sure it's not plugged in to the mains and remove the battery. Wait a min then put the battery back in. Plug the mains charger in (because it might just be that it's not powering up because the battery is flat ) then try it.

If this doesn't work and it does the same thing again, then return it to the shop. You won't be able to fix it, it's a hardware fault. Fatty's leg butt.
