Simon Cox & Jake Livermore

Wed Dec 21, 2011 1:00 pm

Both Simon Cox and Jake Livermore are looking for loan moves away from their parent clubs. Should Malky be taking note?

West Brom striker Cox wants more time on the pitch to prove he's good enough to be part of the Republic of Ireland Euro 2012 squad. This obviously means he would be hungry for goals, and I'm sure he would be willing to move down a league to get them.

As for Spurs midfielder Livermore, he's said he would consider a move away "if it's the right club for me and they play a certain style". Some reports claim Redknapp wouldn't let him go as he's provided cover for Gareth Bale on the left hand side in recent games, but nothing can be ruled out.

Malky's likely to be looking for competition for Conway, and this may be the way to go in my opinion - as long as Livermore isn't a twonk.

So - Cox and Livermore. What do we think?

Bit of useless information for you

If it goes ahead with Livermore it would be the second time a father and son have played for the City and the father has gone on to manage Swansea (other one being the Toshack's)

Would love to see Livermore here, he is a class act but if leaving on loan i would expect him to stay in the Prem, or maybe West Ham.

I certainly think there are bigger suitors than us, that kid is going places.

Wouldnt mind either Rose or Townsends. Both better options than Conway.

I doubt Malky would move for Townsend after signing him for Watford and then sent him back early for unknown reasons.

It also sounds as if he may be a bit of a brat: http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/884448-spurs-winger-andros-townsend-set-to-leave-club-after-training-ground-tantrum
