Dont let a fact like that get in the way of a good rumour

I'm sure the OP knows that and I regluarly see the OP down the Vale gym. Not saying it's true, but the OP wouldn't post something unless he was told. Maybe a loan deal has been agreed and it will go through when the transfer window opens. Maybe Blake has already gone to Ipswich to meet his new team mates in advance to blend into their squad quicker?

Seems silly to loan him out.
If we can get a fee just sell him

Why do you want us to sell one of our best defenders? Darcy needs games as he's not getting any game time here so a loan move would be good for both Darcy and the club. I'm sure we will have an option to recall him if we get any injuries. I'm guessing if this is true, Chopra and JET have recommended him. Transfers don't just happen on January 1st, enquiries and deals are arranged before hand. It wouldn't surprise me at all if this goes ahead.

One of our best defenders??? After that remark nothing you say will ever be taken seriously again.

I dont think he is near any of our 3 defenders and id prefer Keinan to him also....maybe on par with Gypes.
I dont think he is half as good as some people make out, his attitude seems to be poor and MM doesnt seem to like him so if e can get a small fee for him then great and we can spend it on a position and player we need.

I would put him ahead of Keinan, Gyepes, Naylor, Quinn and Gerrard. His performances for Wales recently shows what a good player he can be for us.

Personally, I think if Gyepes was playing centre back for Wales instead of Blake, Wales would have lost all those games. Blake is currently keeping James Collins, a regular for Aston Villa out of the Wales team. I think Blake's attitude has improved this season. Last season he was seen out in Blackwood binge drinking and some of his performances last season were shocking. But this season, he has been far more professional and this has shown in his recent performances for Wales. You're not a bad player at all when you mark Wayne Rooney out of the game and I believe Darcy could still become a very good player for us.

I'm getting fed up with this constant "marked rooney out of the game" one swallow doesnt make it summer!

But the fact is he DID mark Rooney out of the game and that performance alone shows he has the potential to be a very good defender for us for many years if he can mature and perform consistantly.

So based on one performance he's got the potential to be that good?? So using your logic as rooney is one of the best players in the world, we should be fighting off chelsea, barcelona, real madrid and milan to keep darcy at CCS

Re: BLake has gone to ipswich

Rooney had a poor game, I wouldn't say that was just down to Blake.

Besides I don't agree a good international player makes a good club player and vise versa.

Blake is great to have on the bench but unless we had a number of injuries I wouldn't start him in any position.
IMO
RB kev, Quinn ahead.
Lb Taylor naylor kev ahead
CB Hudson, turner, Gerrard, Keinan (when back) ahead.

I haven't said that at all. I have said that performance shows he COULD be a good defender for us for many years as long as he continues to MATURE (both off and on the pitch) and perform CONSISTANTLY to the level he showed in that game against Rooney. I have NOT said we should be fighting off the worlds best teams to keep him. I have said that I believe that performance against England is an EXAMPLE OF HOW GOOD HE CAN POTENTIALLY BECOME FOR US.

Because he is a pisshead and Malky has lost patience with him :ayatollah:

Re: BLake has gone to ipswich

I have heard the pisshead stories and that aint gonna help his cause.

Yes he did a job on Rooney and deserved the plaudits, and 2 seasons ago he and Gerrard together were the best CB partnership since Rog and loovens, check the stats this is a FACT.

He needs games and hasn't had them for reasons only Malky knows, and in Malky I trust.

However I think its madness to loan him out, top premiership defenders have been torn apart by Rooney, and Darcy had him all game. Hope these rumours are not true, with the run in, with injuries and suspensions, Darcys versatility could be very useful to us.

His drinking habits are a load of sxxt people make that up just because hes been kept out of the team!
He was last season but he has stopped after knowing Darcy for a while and his brother etc hes quit all that and has trained hard. Its something else but no one knows! :ayatollah:

We will most prob be able to call him back if this is the case.

Former Rangers player Madjid Bougherra did a job on Rooney as well at the World Cup 2010, and he was shit defender who was barely above standard in the SPL.

Easy way to end the Darcy had Rooney in his pocket therefore he must be good debate. If Rooney and Blake play against each other again, both are playing to their absolute maximum.....Rooney tears Darcy a new arsehole, then another, then another, then another whilst Darcy cries for his mum.

Does Rooney NOT scoring constitute 'marking Rooney out of the game' or did he NOT kick the ball for 90 mins??

Rooney (despite the hype) is only a good player when the opposition let allow him to be and he has (to a large extent) been 'caught out' in recent times now that people realise he has a suspect temperament and a piss poor attitude

Not a particular Blake fan myself (although I admit he is a great 'utility' player to have on the bench) and I don't particularly see the point in him going unless, of course, Malky (and Dave Jones for that matter) has seen a flaw in his character that is upsetting the balance of the whole squad (and we all know by now Malky won't stand for that, eh??)

i cant imagine darcy being the type of person who would upset the dressing room, he is quite a quiet lad. i regularly see him out in blackwood on a thurs night, however is isnt drinking alcohol..

i think its morale and consistency which is the key to darcy. i remember a few yrs ago in ninian playing at centre back and he def had agbonlahor in his back pocket, even turned him inside out. however malky sees things in training daily and we dont.

maybe the have come to an agreement to let darcy go out on loan in a bid to prove hos worth.. darcy wants and needs game time and mm cannot promise him that at the moment..

Re: BLake has gone to ipswich

Rooney, and the whole England side for that matter, had an off night that night. It happens. Rooney was totally devoid of any real service, and playing up top on his own against not just Darcy, but Ashley Williams as well.

However, people are going on about it like Darcy scored the winning goal in a world cup final and hes going to dine out on this "marked Rooney out of the game" bollocks..

if Rooney was having a stormer, and there was loads of last ditch tackles fair enough, but they hardly attacked 2nd half because Wales bossed an out of sorts England team and should never have lost that game.

Besides, he was crap in Wales last game, looked totally exposed against Norway, caught out of position loads, gave the ball away loads, and looked just what he is. A league 1 player at best.
