" FROM OUR CHAIRMAN DATO CHAN TIEN GHEE "

Tue Dec 20, 2011 5:43 pm

Cardiff City Chairman Dato' Chan Tien Ghee shares a seasonal message as we approach the midpoint of the season.

We are currently enjoying very positive times. Everyone at the club is working extremely hard for the cause, not just towards the brand of football we've all enjoyed so far this season, but also behind the scenes and within the community. There are many dedicated and talented people connected to the club, all of whom deserve respect and praise for what they achieve on a daily basis. The staff here are keen to deliver what supporters want to see implemented, doing so at a realistic rate. At the end of the day our collective objective is to provide the things supporters want, growing the club and engaging with fans throughout the process. Interaction and feedback is key to any success we enjoy off the field.
Turning to football matters we've seen some great steps taken in such a short space of time since the managerial changes last summer. We've all seen that the team plays until the final whistle, regardless of however many minutes have been added on. They always give their best for the club, putting their bodies on the line, which makes a big difference for all of us.To give credit where it's due, Malky Mackay and his coaching team are the catalyst for this and are responsible the team gelling as well as they have.

The team performs and works together as one body and are people who you would want next to you in a trench. The players deserve recognition also for taking ownership of their situation and the team isn't about individuals; they are people who look out for each other, making sure that nobody is left behind. They have a tremendous work ethic and their support from all of us on the sidelines is well earned.

We are all committed towards bringing success to the club and know that there is still much to be done from all concerned. Rest assured that the hard work and high levels will be maintained throughout the club. Your support is very much appreciated and the reason that the club is where it is today. I look forward to seeing us developing and growing the club together, taking Cardiff City to its maximum potential.

Season's greetings one and all.

Dato' Chan Tien Ghee

I wonder if anyone ever explained that philosophy to Dave Jones. ;)

Nice statement by TG and certainly in tune with the "We All In This Together Ethos" of MM.

Merry Christmas TG. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

While TG is in a good mood why not ask him for a safe standing area in the Ninian Stand ;) I'm sure you would get it if someone explained how vital it is to our promotion hopes.

Also reading the Echo today, Malky working on making 'leaders' out of our players and ben turner standing up and taking responsibility for Boro's winner.

The sign of a player with confidence and character. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Tony, I chatted to Malky about it on Sunday, He said he would love our stadium to be like the atmosphere of Ninian Park, where he has played. He was shocked when I told him that they were so strict over in the Ninian Stand.
