Boris Johnson spends 300k on Olympic Tickets

Just reading on SSN that the (Night)Mayor of London has reserved 506 Olympic Tickets costing almost £300,000.
This an absolute joke and just shows the arrogance of our politicians. I bet it is us tax payers paying for Mr Johnson's tickets-if he is paying for them himself the bloke is earning far too much money. What does everyone think?

well is he paying for them or is that just the cost of the free tickets hes getting

If the tax payer is not paying then i suppose it is not as bad as i thought. It is wrong though that he is able to reserve certain events whilst Joe Public has to apply and in most cases be unsuccessful.

well he is the mayor of london and the olympics are in london you cant really complain that hes going to attend

People need to chill out:
"The Mayor has made it absolutely clear that tickets will not be financed by the taxpayer and that costs will be covered by resources from the private sector."
It would be a bit more of a shocking title if it was "London Mayor unable to attend the London Olympics due to complexity of online ticket lottery - Fails to get any tickets". Besides who would want to miss his quality haircut - Love Boris, he's pure class

I can't wait to see Boris at the Olympics. He's the main attraction in my opinion and he can have all the tickets he wants!
