The history of Merthyr, and all the industrial valleys, and Cardiff are linked. At one time, Cardiff was the biggest coal exporting port in the world. Nowhere better can you see this than in the fan base of CCFC.

In 1941, when Llandaff Cathedral was bombed, one of the grave stones from there landed in my nan's seat where she had been sitting moments earlier in her house!

I don't remember Piper or Barry Jones winning their titles in the city. I'm pretty sure they both fought elsewhere for those titles.

I can remember standing waitig for a bus with my mother in greyfriars road on our way back to splott where at that time we lived. I was around maybe 5 or 6, and where we stood waiting for the bus across the road was the ruins of the Monastery walls.
Now where that Monastery was ,its a block of offices, I would have thought the Monastery would have been more important from an Historic point of view for Cardiff.

But there is one thing that all Welsh people should know , that no matter where you are in Wales your near to some place that is full of History and that no one place in Wales ismore important than another. Wales our country is a lovely place to be

And as for Labour party , the valleys voted them in all the time year after year after year.
But when the village of Aberfan lost all its children , the money was sent from all over the world, and the labour party at the time made them use that money to clean up after there dead children.,and these pricks still vote Labour. I cant believe it.
