In a way I see where you're coming from. It can (does) have a detrimental effect on their families.

However, do you really think that they would choose to do that to their families? Most (if not all) must be confused, scared, and must have all sorts of thoughts going through their heads. Many probably try to fight the way they feel until they just can't anymore, it's hard to deny who you are.

What Gays do in the privacy of their own homes is their business, but whilst in any public place they should learn to respect the feelings of others and not flaunt their own sexual preferences openly by talking about what they do or acting up the Gay thing in order to repluse those they know are not Homosexual.

One of the most disgusting is meeting up for casual sex in public places, like town centre toilets or parklands. Why they never get prosecuted is beyond me but it is obviously to do with them playing the victim card.

I agree they shoud be able to live their lives without fear of being 'outed' but they must understand that with tolerance comes responsiblity and Gay men need to learn that before they become fully accepted in society.

Firstly, it's good to hear that there are decent people like you out there who would never tolerate bullying on ANY basis, including sexuality.


Whilst I agree that there are gay men and women who do engage in this kind of behaviour, and that they should be prosecuted to the same extent as any other individual, I fail to understand the argument that this is limited to the gay community. There are many hetrolsexual people - male and female - who engage in this kind of activity. As there are many hetrosexuals - again, both male and female - who speak loudly of their sexual conquests/fantasies.

I'm personally hard to offend, so when I hear this 'banter', as it were, it brushes off of me and doesn't bother me (unless there are children within hearing range, in which case I would kick off as much as the next guy). On the flipped side, however, you could argue that there are many people out there who would be offended by hetrosexuals displaying their affections in public. Devout religious people, perhaps, or even homosexuals who are 'disgusted' by their behaviour. In a truely liberal (in the true sence of the word) society, just because gays are the minority, they shouldn't have to hide what to them are natural feelings from the majority, in the same way that the majority shouldn't have to hide their true feelings.

Unfortunately, liberalism is just an ideology and, like every other ideology, doesn't work in practice.

I don't accept homosexuality as natural BUT I don't hold it against anyone who is attracted to their same sex. However like other sects I find some of the actions unacceptable. Like an extreme muslim preaching their hatred I put on a same level as a homomsexual walking around as if he is chewing a toffee up his arse, totally repulsive and I'm uncomfortable about it.

Actually I think you will find that soliciting for sexual favours by female prostitutes towards males in public places is illegal and they will face prosecution if caught, so the flip argument has to be why shouldn't Gay men who approach strangers for casual sex in public places not also face prosecution?

I take your argument about devout religious people who may get offended by heterosexual couples kissing passionately in public places but they are a very small minority.

However, I would estimate that 98% of heterosexual men would find two gay blokes shoving their tongues down each other’s throat in Queen Street in the middle of the afternoon extremely repulsive, but a high proportion would turn a blind eye if they were simply holding hands.

Had been married for 23 years and had 3 kids.

He fucked off when the kids all reached 18 and came out with it.

I dont have a problem with Gay people at all but I do/did feel sorry for his wife
and the kids.

Not only was he living his own life as a lie but he also, whether you like it or not, ruined the lives of his wife of 23 years and his kids.

It also turned out that he had been with other men during the marriage.

The youngest son was totaly messed up by it, split the family right down the middle, my ex wouldnt speak to him and neither would his 2 sons, his own brother and sister disowned him and his parents didnt speak to him for ages.

Obviously Im not with my ex anymore but from what I understand, over time things have healed a bit but I dont think his sons or his brother and sister speak to him.

All very sad and I dont know the answers.
