How do I cite a Wikipedia page for a report? I need to cite the "Persistence of Vision" article on Wikipedia for my school report. Everything else I've found on citing websites says you must include the owner of the website and the author of the article. Does anybody know the owner of Wikipedia? And the authors of Wikipedia are anonymous, aren't they?

My son, who is in school, has been told many times NOT to use Wikipedia as the information is not always accurate. I have checked it with him a few times, and the teachers are 100% correct. Sorry!

Don't ever use wikipedia for an essay or report, especially if you're in higher education.

While it's fine for general use you have to remember that anyone can write any bollocks they like on there and it could be there for a while before it's flagged and removed.
