I was there.

About 5,000 there, with all us lot on the Bob Bank singing our hearts out.

Yes thought Aston villa were a massive club back then,I know their still a big club but their not amillion miles away like back then,still got the thin programme

It was great day. I remember Paul Merson having a good game for Villa despite his well-publicised problems, and didn't they deliberately give away a penalty so that Dale could score? Also remember Carl receiving a signed Vila shirt in a frame. What year was this game?

It must have been mid 90's, 96/97?

Then there was Jason Perry's against Spurs

and Jimmy Goodfellows against Manchester United

it was 99 , game finished 3-1 with dale scoring a penalty

only the grandstand was open

No it wasnt.

Deffo mate.

Im a sad b*stard like that.. I remember where I sit and shit. :lol:

Sat in the lower Grandstand for Perry's against Spurs

and stood on the Grange End for Goodfellows against Utd

But deffo sat in the Bob Bank for Perrys as I remember being dissapointed with how low the crowd was.
