Just wondered has anyone ever tried learning a foreign language by using Rosetta Stone computer software?

I was thinking of trying to learn Chinese Mandarin so that my Friday night take away is delievered correctly

Being serious has anyone ever tried it and was it worth it considering the cost?

I've never used it personally but I know someone that "acquired" the software for free and she raves about it. Apparent;y it's a brilliant piece of kit.

I can fully recomend rossetta stone mate. It is really the best way to learn another language. Dont skip the chapters tho even when you think you can.
Voice recognition is a bit suspect though
