Flying to Sydney in the next couple of days to spend a couple of months working and travelling. Just wondering if there are any fellow bluebirds about and what's the best places to watch EPL and Championship games in the Sydney area?

Hi Mate, there are quite a few of us in Sydney and we used to get together quite often to watch games, have a kick about, go on the piss etc. Unfortunately things have gone a bit quiet since our halcyon days when we brought 50 of us back for the cup final. We did have a bit of a gathering for the WHU game at the Sports Bar in Kings Cross earlier in the year but don't seem to have regular gatherings like we used to.
Join us on Facebook and we will keep it updated if any games are on Fox and we are going to get together. I might also try to organise a gathering soon to watch a Sydney FC game or something.

Happy days, just joined that group. Will be up for a get together if there is one in the future. Will also be up for going to watch Sydney FC.

remember coming down from Hong Kong to Sydney in 2003(?) for the night in the pub with Adrian Alston: monster night must have been 50-60 Cardiff in there. Is Cap'n Rich still involved?

Yeah, used to get great numbers back then. Good chance that I might have met you on that night.
Adrian Alston has been great and always had time for the Bluebirds Downunder. He even turned out for our football team when we organised a game against a local Wollongong team that he coaches. Pretty amazing to have an ex Bluebird and Socceroo lining up with us. Tony Vidmar was also pretty generous too and presented us with one of his shirts.
Rich is still around but has taken a step back from organising, I saw that he was travelling around India recently. You can find him on Facebook via the BDU page if you want to get in contact.
