For Celtics game in Italy...................

On Sky Sports now, did seem funny hearing all our old players injured at once at a different team...

Would they all go straight into our first team if we got them back now ?????

If you could sign one, which one ??????

Loovens and Matthews certainly wouldnt get in our 11, maybe not on then bench either.

I think Ledley would be MM type of player though, maybe in a wider area like Cowie

I would have kept Matthews as Malky would unearth the young lads great potential as a right sided midfield player.

Loovens would 100% make our team now alongside Turner

the other 2, i prefer Super Kev and Taylor to Matthews and i'd prefer all of our centre midfielders to Ledley

Ledley or Conway though on the left? not so sure

ledley for conway would be my change... dont think loovens would replace any centreback... matthews would be ok as a winger in my opinion ... but still wouldnt make our first xi

in my oppinion loovens would be a step backwards of on par to what we have, if were gonna bring in a centre half i'd put him before blake and gerrard though

I'd defo have Ledley back. MM would have loved having Matthews here, but not sure about Loovens. He was great when he was here, but now we have a winning partnership at the back. But Ledley any day.

I bet Dave Jones went round the Celtic dressing room smashing all of his former players in the legs with a baseball bat while screaming at them and a ha;f drank bottle of whiskey in his pocket.

Having recently seen Matthews for Wales and a few Celtic games I think he's got more to his all round game than Taylor and he can play left and right back. Loovens is better than Husdon and Ledley is better than all our midfielders except Whitts. So all three for me please. Would definitely improve the first team and strengthen the squad.

i know one of matthews' brothers (rhys) and he said that matthews was a right midfielder in his younger days! At least MM wouldnt slate the lad if he made mistake, unlike someone else i know DJ after Ipswich game ring a bell??

Whilst Matthews has a more attacking game than Taylor he can't defend. I've lost count of the number of goals he has cost us (Jacks, Reading, Ipswich, etc.) and Wales through losing a challenge in the air particularly on the back post. He may make it as a midfielder but he's got a long way to go to convince me he is a full-back

Loovens at his best was better than Hudson but now I'm not so sure, given our current defensive record I don't think I'd take him back.

Ledley would not get in my team in front of Whitts, Gunnarson or Cowie. He would maybe get in infront of Kiss but then Kiss has huge potential and is a hell of an athlete. If Leds can still play left side then I would certainly take him but I'm not so sure he'd want to play there.

I dunno which Joe Ledley u lot have been watching lol. He was good on the wing for us admittedly. Awful centre-midfielder tho. He never took any players on, if he received the ball from a defender he couldnt turn, he'd give it straight back, he doesnt actually contribute apart from working hard. Dont get me wrong, us City fans love hard workers but they must have something about them too. I could see him hindering Wales chances cos he isnt as good as Vaughan. So Ledley gets injured and Wales Smash Norway, Switzerland and Bulgaria. Have a little look at who cost us the goal vs England, he was done with ease. I got nothing against Ledley as he works hard, but id never have him back. Not sure about Loovens anymore, not bothered by him, defo have Matthews back, young and promising. I thought he was awesome, some of the runs he made running all the way from the back and going through on goal, if he could have put one of those away im sure he'd have the confidence to do it more regular.
