Well I'm not effing doing it!!!

They are talking about painting daffs back on that water tower on central train station. A long time ago in 1985/1986 I was one of the lads who worked on that. It was a kind of job creation thing at the time with Cardiff Council. It was a great job though, loved it. They started painting it in the winter of 85. The funny thing was you couldn't go up the scaffolding if it was windy or if it was wet or is it was icy. Being winter most days fell in to one of those, so we spent all our time in the portacabin playing cards.
When we did get up there to do a bit though it was great. I can still smell the brewery now.
