What is TG refering to when he says 'the sky's the limit?'

There is a quote in there that Premier League status would be a 'bonus' and it is not absolutely essential.

IMO 'sky's the limit' is in reference to the community and education work which is going on in Malaysia for which Cardiff City is being used as a marketing tool and providing logistical support.

I have no problem with the work they are doing in Malaysia and TBH I think it is marvelous, but I'm also worried that TG/VT might have worked out that they can use us just as well (for now any way) as a Championship club as they could if we made it to the Premier League.

I might be reading the interview wrong but if that is true then it might suggest why funding for new players is not forthcoming ATM.

I just think very good foundations have been set, and we are growing in the right way. I think he is saying we are already making a big name for ourselves in Malaysia and for that matter the whole far east as a Championship club however when we do reach the Premier League the sky really is the limit and we are going to be massive. TG and VT are being very astute in the marketing of Cardiff City Football Club in Malaysia and the Far East because they know the potential amount of finances and goodwill that is available on tap for our club. I genuinely think the Langstone debt will be relative peanuts if we grow in the right way. In this day and age of huge football debt we could be one of the few to defy the trend of a debt ridden football club and that can only benefit the club :ayatollah:

I watched the interview on cc player and though it cam be interpreted that they may not be in a rush to get to the premier league, it must be interpreted that they are in cardiff for the long haul, which in a time when most owners are after a quick fix at the risk of their club, this must be good news.

I, for one am thrilled tg and tan are going about things at the moment and i think we are in very safe hands for future. :ayatollah:

Firstly, we dont know that no funding is available. The manager suggests he is being backed
and his attempt to get Diouf in from Man Utd adds weight to his words.

Second. I was also a bit shocked when he said 'Premiership is not essential'.. but i think he
means that right now, things are coming along nicely and everything is on track

I HOPE he does mean that anyway :?

Because he's absolutely right

I think he means that he's not going to up and leave if Cardiff don't get to the premiership in x number of seasons.
