Aidan Rosser's Big Walk Update

Tue Dec 13, 2011 1:09 pm

Hi All, as some of you are aware, there are currently 5/6 of us walking from Swansea to Cardiff for a number of reasons and in no order, they are to say a Massive Thank To Annis and Carl and the Good People of this forum for their kind words of support and also the very kind donations, it's also about raising awareness of Aidan's condition and raising funds to buy Aidan essential equipment. Jack 64 who is Gary, he was awesome in helping to do so much of our organisation in playing our part in the Mikey D Memorial Cup has said he wasto walk with us aswell and I am chuffed at that, as Gary is a top man.

Thanks to the kindness of this forum and it's members, Chris and Michelle Aidan's parents have bought a pram which they love but more importantly Aidan also loves, Chris said to me, Aidan seems to be very contented in it.

Playfootball, Swansea and myself have made a joint contribution of £ 320 to buy Aidan a specialist car seat and Chris said Michelle is going to buy it, in the January sales.

Chris and I have very special thank you for Annis and Carl lined up on our arrival at The Cardiff City Stadium.

I would like to publicly thank Annis, Carl, the forum members and also a big thank you to Cardiff City FC for their kind support for Aidan and his family.

My Mate Jon and myself have been putting in some miles just to get some training, to walk the 45/50 miles to Cardiff from Swansea, so here is what I have done so far, some of it's time trialing.
http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/31032345

Chris has been invited on the Wave tomorrow morning by Badger fair play to him, to talk about Aidan and also to mention the walk, the Wave is here,
http://www.thewave.co.uk
So if you are not doing anything maybe you could listen in.

Jon and myself are walking from Swansea to Bridgend Police Headquarters this week as part of our training schedule, it's about 2o or so miles.

If you are asking why can't Chris come on here himself and give you all an update, the answer his, he would love to but, he will tell you himself, since he has started out fund raising for his son Aidan his business is suffering, he doesn't mind that, but I have told it's what pays the bills, and I have some time I can use to support in him in anyway I can.

Doing something like this just takes over your life and I sincerely hope none of you have to go through it.

I am really looking forward to the walk, the day, saying thank you to so many good people and then going on and hopefully see Cardiff City give Reading a hiding.

You all are a credit to yourselves, Cardiff City and Welsh Football. ATB. Reeco

Just shows how far we have come in terms of our rivalry. I'm sure a couple of years ago this wouldn't even of been thought of. This year really has brought our clubs closer together.

All the best Reeco!

Tony LMAO, How does anyone follow on from Annis My Story, Carl told me, it's a great read and I have read some people saying they think it's Annis's best book so far, I am hopeful that Santa will get me a copy. Annis has told me some of the book and I don't read books because as you all know Jacks can't read lol, but even I want to read Annis My Story. The only two books I have read since leaving school have been from Paul Gazza Gascoigne and Glen The Killer Pass Hoddle. To me the day will be awesome and I really can't wait. ATB. Reeco

Reeco, blisters on each ankle every morning which had to be popped about twice a day but after 10 minutes walking the pain goes. Also did 2 charity walks with Ian Botham so got used to walking over 4 miles an hour
