Who would you like to see us sign in January

to give us that extra push for promotion.

The championship is so tight this year, even for championship standards, and I really think if the Malaysians give Malky some money in January this could finally be our year.

Ill hold my hands up to not thinking this squad would get near this position, but now we are, I think with some extra quality it could happen.

We are well covered in defence and I would like to see us sign:

JIMMY KEBE
BILLY SHARP
ANDY KING

I'd love to see Messi and Ronaldo, but like Sharp and King there is no chance of that.

Those 3 would be great, and we have a chance on Kebe, but Sharp would cost £3-£4m and isnt really a physical striker, which is what I'd like and I very much doubt Leicester would let us have King.

Sordell has been mentioned and might be more realistic, although Watford would probably charge us more than we would pay and Juckevitz is another, but apparently Saints have bid £3m for him.

Maybe we could take advantage of Pompey's problems and nip in for Huselkepp, Kitson (although he might not be the sort Malky would want) Lawrence and Halford wh are both players I rate.

Perhaps Bradley Wright-Phillips from Charlton,

Lots of options out there, and I'm sure Malky will unearth a couple of good ones.


I'd expect we are also looking at lower league players, Scots and Irish, probably a couple we've never heard of

I would like to see a striker/pacy winger and a midfielder at least.

Jordan Rhodes would be great but he's on of the top scorers in Lge 1, that will have put his price tag up a bit. MM only had praise for him when we played the in the Carling Cup.
Kebe would also be fantastic, and to those who say he wouldnt be the right kind of player, Miller wasnt before he came here. He was a little bit lazy and allways complained. (As we saw against West Ham)
Ched Evans also, no ones mentioned him yet. Pretty good at this level.
And if he would drop down a level i'd like to see David Vaughan from Sunderland, allways rated him

I'd be happy with most of the names mentioned in this thread but i'm glad we're not the cardiff of old and i for one, never hearf of joe mason, rudy, or kiss so i'd be very happy with more of the same. The foreign market is often better simply cos the players are cheaper.
To be honest i hope we're able to get an attacking right back as well

Ebanks-Blake would do a job up front, proven scorer at this level, strong, quick....

If its James Coppinger form Donny, he's getting a bit old now, must be in his late 20's so I dont think Malky will want him.
But as for Templeton, Kebe, Rhodes and Ched Evans, any of them would be great.
I think we'd be more likely to go for Templeton as he's only 22 (and Scottish), and either Rhodes or Evans. As I said above Evans is pretty good at this level, and Malky had nothing but praise for Rhodes when we played them.
But if we get Templeton and Rhodes I think we'll have what it takes to snatch an automatic promotion place!

Be great if we could get Rhodes here on the cheap! Read that when some Huddersfield fan met him and asked him if he were to move would he go premier league and he said that it was to early to call and wanted to go a league higher! < If it was true then wise words from a young player!
Apprantley theres lot of dislike ok Kebe from Reading fans Theres a lot who ent fussed on him but if he was in midfield with players like Whittingham, Cowie, Gunnarsson, etc then it be better for him!
People will say Why Ched Evans? You got to think of our midfield who can provide some fantastic service so Evans would love that! Never capable of gettng lots of goals because Sheffield Uniteds midfield was very weak!
But you got to think of players like Holt, Morrison who were all in league 2 etc and look now?!

Haven't seen anything of Templeton, but all I know is that he's awesome on FM Andrew Driver is a decent as well, but I always sign Templeton!

I rate Conway and perhaps he's a little off form, but you have to remember that many of our players haven't really had too much of a break so far given the size of our squad! But I agree that we need more than just Conway on the left of midfield if we are to remain where we are in the league, i.e. top 6. I also think that we need cover for Don Cowie as well, as he's really the only guy who's been playing on the right of midfield. People constantly reiterate that we need cover for Conway, but Cowie has played just about every game as well.

Another striker too, to provide even more options up front. Ideally he'd be able to play as a lone striker to boot.

And a central midfielder would do nicely
