an idea for the family stand,move us to the canton

im sure this will help the atmosphere,my boy can watch his team warm up,i havent got to walk all the way around the stadium,

Agree.

Especially when it is raining it adds 10 minutes to getting in and out of the ground.
Not good for the kids getting soaked (or me of course).

That seems common sense to me. I have always thought that the Canton was the more natural end for the family stand as it is closer to the car park and all entrances.

the thicko's who decide where we sit cant see it though. id rather the singing section in the grange and us in the canton

I say swap the canton with the grandstand, then I can be nice and warm having a pint AND I WONT HAVE TO SHOUT BECAUSE OF THAT f*cking BAND before every game.

If I remember rightly the family stand was once situated in one of the lower enclosures under the main Grandstand. It was then moved to the Canton.

If I remember rightly the family stand was once situated in one of the lower enclosures under the main Grandstand. It was then moved to the Canton.

correct. In the days of the junior bluebirds it was lower grandstand canton side of the tunnel.
