Cardiff Ultras !

Quite a few British teams are now beginning to have groups of Ultras. Personally I think they are amazing and boost the atmosphere quite a lot. I remember a few years back when Palace came to Cardiff there support was shit where as the other day it was the best away support I've seen in a long time. Also Green Brigade(Celtic) look really good. I think its something we need to boost the atmosphere at CCS. Search ULTRAS online and you will see why. What do you think?

There's a lot more to being an Ultra than holding a flare. The real thing is in Italy. It involves politics (some clubs left wing, but most far right), control of ticketing, merchandise, access to the club president, stewarding and more. Ultras are very tightly controlled, often using strikes, demonstrations to make their point. If all else fails, they visit the training ground, and demand to see the manager and players, usually with success. If not, they torch the players' cars. Different league!

The Palace ultras look like a bunch of immigrants. Turkish persuasion.

Its about time some people find out what "ultras" actually are and what they stand for, if they became a part of CCFC then its a goodbye from me and dare i say a lot of others! They help ruin italian football and dont want my club going that way.

I remember a TV programe on the juventus ultras from a few years ago wher they managed to bully the crowd into Not Clapping The Team in protest at something. Any one remember it ?

I am not sure why UK clubs are adopting the term Ultras, as already mentioned "Ultras" have such an input to the club that it is almost a way of life.
I attended a match in Bari(Italy) where the Ultras almost ran the entire event...merchandise, alcohol and programme sales and even parking!!
I am all for getting crowds singing and creating an atmosphere but using the term "Ultra" I think is wrong.

The fans didn't decide to stick those up though the board do, who are Malaysian and trying to extend our links with Malaysia. personally i would rip 3 of them down and stick 2 bluebird flags up, 1 welsh and 1 malaysian in each corner. Dando's trying to say get the fans ideas on how to improve the stadium's atmosphere which I think it's a great idea.
