Another possible Gary Speed Tribute idea !!

Hi All,

Don't post on here too often (as my post counter will show), but check in on here many times a day. Being an exile, it's where I can keep up to date with day to day happenings of this great club of ours.

Like many I was (and still am) shocked & upset by Gary Speed's passing and I was wondering could a tribute along the lines of the attached youtube clip http://youtu.be/yOhWXbaevWk be done in memory of Gary - obviously thinking massive Welsh shirt with SPEED & 85 on it. Could just imagine it at Welsh games being passed over heads. I realise there are stadium safety concerns and also depending on who Wales are playing or how they are doing in their respective qualifying groups attandances can differ but even if there was a low attandance at any ground be it Mill Stad, CCS, Liberty if the flag wasn't passed over head it could be laid out over a section of the ground where there are a load of empty seats.

Now the tricky bit - how and who would organise it? Was wondering if the Welsh FA themselves would pay for & own it - not sure how much a flag that size would cost but Welsh FA could fit the bill or even put it as suggestion and set up for fans of ALL Welsh (and non Welsh if they wanted) football to contribute. If the Welsh FA did this they would then own the flag and could ensure it was always at the ground for matches and collect it afterwards. I myself wouldn't have a clue how to go about suggesting this to the Welsh FA but perhaps someone on here has contacts within or perhaps an e:mail template could be set up by someone with half an idea about this sort of thing (which I ain't) the fans could fill in the form and e:mail it directly to Welsh FA, perhaps if they got bombarded they may actually do it. The template could be sent to people we know who support other Welsh Clubs (ie Reeco from Swansea) for them to send on and so on (I supppose a bit like an old fashioned chain letter)

Surely if Exeter City and their fanbase can organise a tribute to one of their players the Welsh footballing public & F A could do it?

Sorry it went on a bit, now you see why I don't post too often, the rest of you wouldn't get a look in - lol :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
