a few months ago , i posted on here that my dad had cancer.
he`s 66 and has been watching city since he was 11. some great stories he got (beating spurs` double winning side is among his favourite)
he retired last year, grafted all his life and within a few months of retiring got struck down.
the post received over a 100 messages of get wells and cancer experiences/advice from yourselves, and i printed them out and gave them to him in hospital.
i saw him the following day and he said that it was the best feeling he ever had, to recieve something like that from people he never knew.
he filled right up, well and truly touched.
his cancer went into remission 4 weeks ago, and we have been told today it has violently returned with 4 tumors in his shoulder. his doctor said he has never seen it return so quickly.
im not asking you guys to do the same thing again, ive just ran out of words to comfort him.
i look at recent weeks , mikey dye, city fan at ccs last week, gary speed and just feel like saying to you all just a big thanks, this is real support, from people you dont even know, and show what a difference a message board can make.
a big massive thanks for making my dad feel ever so special.
im filling up just typing this cos i know none of you, but feels like i do.
best wishes for you all lads,
graham
