I had a parking fine from the Asda car park outside the ground in August. I had letters of the first company and ignored them. They then moved on to creditors who have sent me letter which I ignored. The most recent letter said I can either pay the £100 now or their legal team will be in touch and will take me to court. Advice from someone who has gone through this please . . .

I'm at the same stage as you, had the same letter last week!
I'm going to carry on ignoring it, they'll go away eventually

Depends who it was from. If the fine was from the Council or South Wales Police, pay it. If the fine is from anyone else, keep ignoring it until they go away.

get advice on these tickets from the consumer ation group, google them and then go to the corrosponding forum. if they do go for a court action, challenge them and they would have to move to the nearest county court to you, then turn up and defend yourself,ie i had a flat battery, misses was taking ages you get the jist of it.99.9% certain they would just leave you alone when they realize they won't get anything out of you. but don't ignore any court letters ,they can't enforce any action against you without first getting a county court judgment against you.

I got one from Tesco about 2 years ago saying my car was parked in one of their bays for over 7 hours, when the Maximum stay is for 3 hours and that I would be facing a fine of up to £70.
After speaking with my local councillor I found out that the car park was owned by Tesco and not a council pay and display which would've meant I had to pay a fine.
I contacted the store regarding my threatening letter received from Tesco and told them I had receipts from the store and surrounding stores that day and will not be paying any fine nor will I be using Tesco stores anymore.
I have not had any correspondence back from Tesco or any other company regarding the fine.
For the record my work is right next to the store and my wife had shopped in tescos and other stores that day and left the car for me to bring home as she had left big bag of dog biscuits and several packs of tinned for the dog....
Wankers none the less.....

Ignore them, only the council and police ones are enforcable. Euro parks issue these "fines" but this is simply an invoice that you need to ignore. I have ignored many and after 4-5 letters they go away

ignore it TRUST ME
what ever you do, do not even get in touch with them i still have one here from 2 years ago, after a year they give up.
you will however over the next 12mths get 2 or 3 more, one telling you that the fine has now gone up, then another saying court proceedings are in process or taken place and now you have court costs, on top of the fine, and then a third saying if you pay now you can pay the original fine.

Ignore it... Town & City Parking are useless & can not enforce the tickets..

Definately ignore it-i`ve had loads of tickets from private parking companies over the years.the only tickets you have to pay are from the council or police as THESE ARE LEGALLY ENFORCEABLE.If a private company issues you with a ticket -if you do not pay THEY must apply to a court to get their money under the civil law for illegal trespass, and even if they did decide to go this far all they could claim is what the judge saw fit to award as damages resulting from your trespass. One last thing though-beware if there is a clamping notice-they can legally clamp you if there is a notice that states offending vehicles will be clamped....but if you can manage to remove the clamp with no damage then thats allowed!

If you park in a super Market car park as you have done, always buy something from in the store or try and find some receipts in a trolley so you can say you were in the store shopping and had food in the cafe that's why you were so long

Just a heads up
Asda are installing NPR (Number plate recognition) cameras in all their car parks and will be enforcing fines more thoroughly in the future.
They will obviously have evidence to back up their legal actions.

Every Asda store has NPR already, It was brought in last year by TCP to save on staff wages.
