Agreed.
But if we eventually do beat Coventry, then the two semi-finals and the
revenue they bring will have proved to be a nice little earner for the Club,
and alls well ends well![]()

I'm sick of these football snobs disrespecting the cups and disrespecting the championship. U only have to look at the 3 that went up to see that the champ team and up to top 6 of the prem are much the same.
The prem clubs can afford squad depth but have taken the mick out of carling, europa and even fa cup for the money of staying in the prem, which usually only 2 teams a season challenge for (yawn).
I here players when they leave clubs saying 'I wanna win trophys'. Well, here one is - the carling cup.
That's silverware - may be man u's closest opportunity to get some this season (I don't know or care mind) and it was deffo Blackburns - yet they don't go for it.
Remember when teams won the double and the treble???
Now u got redknap and mancini even not bothering to field full teams for euro games - what the f**k do they want???
We have one f**k all in the english league or cups since 1927. Wouldn't it be great to win something???? Our crowds only went up after the FA cup visits to wembley - so don't knock the cups or fall into the trap of belittling them - cos man u and europe every year we fcukin aint

The way i see it is that with such a new team having (within reason) a few more competetive matches undoubtedly has got us to the stage where we are playing like a cohesive team. In terms of player confidence and boardroom confidence i cant see the negatives in us getting potentially to Wembley
So far we havent picked up any serious knocks or injuries in the cup, maybe lucky but i think the positives dwarf the negatives
