TICKET IDEA TO INCREASE ATTENDANCE?

Wed Nov 30, 2011 4:20 pm

Why don't the club offer a christmas bonus to (for arguments sake) the first 5000 people that enquire about the "new year bundle"

So because tickets are expensive and lots of people can't afford EVERY GAME, or a season ticket they could take up this offer whereby they can CHOSE ANY FOUR LEAGUE fixtures from the remainder of the season for £50 (that's £12.50p per game) once a certain fixture is deemed a sell out they have to chose another fixture?

Could this or a similar method be adopted to boost attendance and revenue and make it easier for more people to attend?

This is just a suggestion by the way it may not work but an idea to attempt to boost attendance and atmosphere?

Wouldn't work Craig as what would happen if they all came to the same match and it was a sell out and some didn't get allowed in ? They would not be allowed to do it i would of thought

But I thought if the walk up allowance percentage was available on the day (what ever that is) they could work around it?

I did also mention it as an idea to maybe spur other ideas on? Something similar if this wasn't viable. I'm just trying to think of ways to boost attendance - we really should be selling out as Gwyn mentioned.

they need to advertise things better, have more family days or reduced price matches, we need to draw the people in in the hope they catch the bug!!

the Main eye-catcher is money off deals! If they can introduce a scheme that works similar to this surely more people will buy multiple tickets? (at reduced cost!)

First thing that needs to be adressed is the family stand.
Instead of having empty seats dotted about, get them all together and make 50/100 seats every game available free to a certain JUNIOR SCHOOL. If 10 of them love it go home and say ''dad can we go to the next home game''. Bam 20 new fans easy as that.
Next home game you do similer with a different school.
By the end of the the season you could be looking at 10,20,50,100+ new kids and dad season ticket holders.
When there old enough mates get involved, when there 16 they become the new wave of hooligans
SERIOUSLY THOUGH IT SOUNDS EASY AND BELIEVE ME IT IS, I HAVE DONE IT WITH PROFFESIONAL CLUBS IN OTHER SPORTS.

I was referring to matches of your choice though ;)

To increase the likelihood of sellouts at big games!

This is sort of how I became a fan and season ticket holder. Members of Cardiff city or the academy or something visiting schools, my kids then wanted to go to see a match, so been buying 4 season tickets for me, mrs and kids for past 6yrs. So things similar to this do work.

Another thing too, I notice a lot of comments about the empty seats in the family stand, is it really as bad as people make out. I have only missed 1 game because of work, but the family stand when it does seem there are empty seats the rest of the ground seems to have a lot of empty seats too. Perhaps you don't notice the stand your in as much as the other 3 stands your facing at ???????????
