Portsmouth are really going through the mill and must be under threat of going under now. Quite what the FL make of this is anyones guess but less than 16 months after reaching a CVA with thier creditors than cannot meet the obligations under that agreement. A huge points deduction is a real possibility here and that will be reaaly sad for the club and it's fans.

The wurzels are fast approaching trouble as well;

£23m in two season plus spending millions on a new stadium plan that is floundering. Sound familiar to anyone. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Makes you think how lucky we are that V Tan is not only covering our daily debts but reducing them so that we can continue as a club without a sugar daddy in the future. Maybe people should think about that when having a go at VTan and demanding extra loans and players.

Luke - Im with you 100% - I'm not that bothered if we dont get into the playoffs this season- although we are looking strong, consolidation, rebuilding, and a solid financial base is more important to me this season. I'm not going to argue with a good cup run, promotion, play offs - or what ever! its all a bonus and Im loving my footy at the moment.... I'd rather bring the likes of Mason, Ralls, Jarvis, Wildig and the other young lads through than sign some greedy premiership prima donna!

^^^^^^
This

Imagine if we did bring in a lone striker, would Mason have got on the pitch? Ok, you could argue that the lone player may have scored, but I'd rather develope our own players like Mason rather that those of a Premiership team.

After all the money problems changing managment and staff and players i would settle for a team that stays up this year. But we now have a manager who looks like he will take us the next step this season or next.Time to start enjoying our football again, last season wasnt good to watch with the prima donnas wasting a great chance to go up it was ours to lose with only 2 games to go
Now we have a team from the boardroom to the pitch all pulling in the same direction . :ayatollah:

just read alan sugar's latest book where he explains about his time in charge of spurs and how the spiral of debt began and that every football club and committee doesnt really care. as he says how can a club go into admin on tuesday, and field a team on saturday? said that it wont hit home until a team is actually thrown out of business and struck out of the leagues. got a feeling it may be pompey soon enough theres only so many times one club (or be it owners) can take the piss. sorry for the fans.
