" IN TONIGHTS MINUTE APPLAUSE "

Tue Nov 29, 2011 2:27 pm

I will be thinking about Gary Speeds two children and his wife he has left behind.

Yes I thought Gary Speed was a hero as a manager and player, but the ones hurt most out of this are his children and wife and parents he has left behind, who might never recover from this.

I listened to Earnshaw yesterday on tv, saying about the time he met Gary's young son at a BBQ and he asked him for his autograph and said I am Gary Speeds son. Earnshaw said Gary's sons face came straight back in his mind and that all he could think of was his sons face and what he must be feeling. To me these are the ones I am feeling more for.

So tonight they will be in my thoughts right through our minutes clap. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Good shout, esp after the circumstances surrounding Gary's death it's definately his wife and kids left to pick up the pieces, even more so as last night they and his agent (also his best friend) refuted any claims he had or has ever suffered depression.....makes you wonder what the bloody hell was going on? anyway thoughts 100% with the family

For sure, lost my Dad in 1986, still cuts me wide open every time I think of it. It hurts so much when you dont expect things like that to happen. This is a thought they will carry with them for the rest of there lifes. God Bless them
