Potentially the most annoying thing to happen this week...

Mon Nov 28, 2011 6:57 pm

When we beat Blackburn tomorrow night by overwhelming them with hard work and a desire to win, this forum will be flooded with people wanting tickets for a game against one of the big boys in the next round.

Can't believe we haven't sold out for tomorrow night, I am absolutely buzzing over it and CAN'T WAIT!

The club have been spot on with their ticketing for the Carling Cup and every cup game this season has been thoroughly enjoyable. I hope enough people decide to pay the club back tomorrow, by turning up and supporting the boys!

We can make all the difference tomorrow night, by giving the team the lift they need to get the win. Setting us up for a big 2 legged tie, against a massive club.

This will be a big boost for the club with a lot of ticket revenue and tv money if we get through - right smack bang on the January transfer window. Let's do our bit and turn up in our droves!

Defo mate, I think that people should be rewarded in some way for turning out tomorrow night, although I do understand Season Ticket holders should always get priority.

Totally agree. For the next round they should scrap the ''Season ticket holders get priority'' scheme, and use a stub system, so that many others like me who've been to previous cup rounds get a fair chance to get a ticket.
(I am a season ticket holder by the way but I prefer to sit with other friends in cup matches)

Wouldn't be very good or professional of the club to back track on a promise. ST holders get priority, not always fair but it's what was said at the start of the season so should be kept to.

A good idea but the FACT that Season Ticket Holders (rightly so) have first refusal on their seats for ALL games would cause problems on that front

It's difficult to know a 'fair' solution in event we should get to the semi-finals and yours would appear logical (i.e. reward for turning up in earlier rounds) but the ticketing rules are set BEFORE the season commences

Mind you, it COULD work (if you don't assume that non-season ticket holders have te same seats) as I doubt that many of those attending will be completely 'new' to the CCS :ayatollah:

I can't make it tonight cos of work etc, does that count me out of a semi final ticket should we win tonight,
Ok so I've only done one away match and two home so far this season! And just bought my millwall ticket and yes season ticket holders should have first dibs but as an away member there should be some left for away members!!

Anyway heres hoping the city put in a good shift tonight and come through winners :ayatollah:

ST should get priority, It's like a reward for supporting the club from the off, Not like joining in half way through the season when we are doing well. It should then be anyone who went to the previous Cup game gets 2nd dibs, That way everyone should be able to get a ticket.

Do you think it's right some ST holders don't go to any cup games and then go to the big ones at the end when some people have gone to every cup game and is not a ST Holder? I'm not sure and I don't think there is anything the club can really do.

I'm sure we will all be happy in the end. Can't wait to beat Blackburn tonight. :ayatollah:
