My God, that was a horrible moment on Sky Sports earlier. He was reporting live from Leeds regarding the passing of Gary Speed. Obviously, Gary and Bryn have become good friends over the years due to the media relations and Bryn has said on Facebook how hard he is finding it to deal with Gary's death. He tried reporting but right at the end he just broke down in tears and it even got me going.
I wasn't friends with Gary but I feel like I have lost a member of my family. I can't imagine how his family and friends feel. He isn't just a loss for football, this is the loss of a genuine and friendly man who has touched millions of lives and who personified what football is all about. Wales has lost a great, great son.

Agreed.
Before I come to work early this morning I put on SSN and Bryn Law was interviewing Simon Grayson. I thought then he didnt look well. His face was etched in grief and he was as pale as his white shirt.

Just seen him interviewed again talking about the great Gary Speed. At the end he couldnt hold his grief in anymore and broke down. Brought tears to my eyes as it shows the high regard in which football holds Gary Speed.

We are so used to seeing tragedy on the news these days that you tend to get a bit oblivious to it but the sad loss of Gary Speed has really shocked and upset me. I don't normally cry when I hear of the death of people who I didn't know personally but I've shed a few tears for Gary Speed. I just can't get my head around it. It seemed all the worse having seen him live on Football Focus on saturday. We should all bring something red for the Blackburn game.....shirts, scarves, flags to show how we feel.
