Gary Speed got his first Wales Cap at Ninian Park in 1990 v Costa Rica. Wales went on to Win 1 Nil.
Capped for Wales 85 times.

Only Neville Southall got more caps than Gary. Keepers go on longer! Gary always turned up for Wales, always. Very few players we can say that about. Remember at the end of the Russia play off he went up to the Spanish ref and shook hands with him and the linos. Even then he was a gent and a sportsman. He was great after Wales games, signing autographs and posing for photos. Same when he came here with Sheffield United. Whatever was troubling him, he's at peace now.
What a terrible few months for Welsh football, first Mikey Dye, now Gary Speed. Let's get to Brazil to honour them.
