I read this on the BBC website and I was in tears. I am gutted and it seems that most of football is.

RIP Gary. The world is a lesser place today.

Within an hour the thread at the top RIP Gary speed had page after page and it continues to grow, and not because it's a death but because he was genuinely respected and loved by everyone.

In a world where it seems society is going backwards and people's values and attitude diminishing I think with Gary speed we had some with values, professional and genuine. Sad for the football world but also said for the human race which has lost a positive and real good person.
