He's got the highest successful pass completion percentage in the Premier League.

This is what they would have been referring to.

I think the number of goals we are scoring shows we aren't playing your way at all.
Our passes are forwards.

You know you don't have a copyright on passing the ball

Indeed. In a holding midfield role where he wins the ball and passes it to a team mate. That's his job.

Much like Makelele used to.

ERR you got promoted from what was a poor championship and the way you play will see you in a relegation scrap at the end of the season.

Aye, so poor you couldn't get out of it.

We're sitting quite nicely in 13th with the equal highest number of clean sheets, along with Premier League Champions Manchester United. I'm quite happy.

Not for long you've played most of the shit teams at home already, I see your points per game tally dropping massively from here on in.

Your keeper has been a brilliant buy for you, but I doubt even he can save you. But time will tell?

It will be interesting this week to see how we both compare against Blackburn?

We've also played most of the big teams away. Trust me, there are more than 3 worse teams than us in this division.

Re: leon britton?

The thing with swansea is they think theyre the only team in the world that passes a ball!
Ok, one of only two, them and Barca

Yes they got to the Premier League and well deserved aswell but they are slightly dillusional if they compare themself to the champions of Europe and indeed the world.

If they were so good at Football then they would be near the top of the Prem surely ??

Oh yes I remember, that one stat that matters the most, scoring more than the opposition is second on their priorities after passing it around.
A commentator hit the nail on the head today
"its pleasing on the eye passing it sideways and backwards but they have no cutting edge, teams will soon suss them out"

Re: leon britton?

Theres method to Brendas madness. 36 nil nil draws and nick a coplue of one nil wins would get them 42 points which is enough to survive most seasons.

I thought that Mark Gower has the best stats in the premier league for creating goals also :?:

I will have to agree with you on that one but your home games will be crucial and you're doing alright so far.

Fair play the jacks are holding their own with some good teams, it all depends on wether they can keep it up, Villa sussed them yesterday and pinned them back for the second half

Re: leon britton?

Three off our better players were not in the right mind to be ther,,the whole day was bit weird to be honest,as the fans and atmosphere was quiet,,as for our football, for years u have tken the piss, and said we would get nowhere? ?a bit on your ars comes to mind,,

we are very happy with where we are as a club at the moment

Re: leon britton?

Mon Nov 28, 2011 1:08 pm

lets take a non biast approach,

majority of the time leon britton will pass one man across or he'l feed to one of the more skillful and talented players.. any sunday league player can make a succesful short pass

where as likes of steven gerrard will pass 65 yards to andy carrols right bollock, which is, as we know alot harder to do

Re: leon britton?

Mon Nov 28, 2011 1:18 pm

Following on from an unbiased view, i totally agree that Leons short passing can look simple but its that 'magic ball' what sets the difference between someone like him, xavi and xavi alsonso where the two latters know the right pass whether it be forward, sideways or backwards. These players really orchestrate the way Real and Barca play
Peter Whittingham, when sitting in a deep role, is another who can pin point a pass, but overall isnt to te standard of the two spanish players
Leon Britton, apart from being a Jack b*stard, would fit nicely in our team though as he just sits and tidies up.

Re: leon britton?

Mon Nov 28, 2011 1:20 pm

Lol,let me get this right,,you are saying britton is a Sunday league player??ffs pal don't talk shit,,if you now f**k all about a subject best say f**k all
He is a hard working lad how rarely loses the ball, has skill and plenty of flair, and would walk in to any lower league team, plus a few in the prem,,

No im saying he's an average player, his hard work makes up for what he lacks in ability, He's not at an elite standard to be regarded as one of the best premier league midfielders.

anyone can blossom in the premier league given the chance, every player needs to play at the highest level to improve, whether it be swansea city or burnley,
