Peter Whittingham a rose amongst thorns

Sun Nov 27, 2011 11:32 am

If he gets injured we are going to be totally and utterly fucked.

The only player we have with any creative qualitys whatsoever and it was thanks to another moment of brilliance from him we got the 3 points yesterday.

We cant keep playing this bad and picking up the points.

You still think we're 'sleepwalking towards relegation' then?

theres not many teams in the world that if there best player gets injured they wouldnt struggle.

i dont see what your latest moan today polo is really pointing out other than the obvious and to what 905 of clubs have the same issues about

Whitts just happens to be out talisman type player. Most teams have one.
Take Nolan out of West Hams side and I think they'd fall apart. Would
Barca be Barca without Messi? What were Liverpool like last season with
no Gerrard.

my confidence would be in the manager to either push McPhail into the hole,
or even Don Cowie who can pick out a pass and played Central Midfield at
times for Watford.

I reckon we'd cope!

Though I wouldnt want to bet my house on it :?

Averaging two goals a game. Only Southampton have scored more.

I think we're only two points behind our tally for up to this time last season?

We were great going forward at times last season, but a pushover at the back

It might not be as exciting to look at but it is bringing the same (if not better) results!

We are not averaging two a game. 33 in 19 and most if them have been scored or created by whitts. hence the thread cos without him i wonder where the creativity would come from. conway was woeful again yday.

Your defence argument doesny really stack up either. conceded 22. Nly 3 othet teams in the top 12 have concedef more.

Damn right its not exciting to watch and your claim results are better this season is contradicted by you pointing out we were 2 points better off last season :?

Brand new team, second highest goalscorers in the division, and in the last seven games
we have only conceded 3. To me that says our new players are starting to gel quite nicely
I said myself we were two point shy of where we were last season the point being... we
are doing just as well as when we had 'the great strike force'

Whittingham has scored just over a fifth of our goals

Lambert for Southampton has scored nearly a third of theirs

Don Cowie had one of the highest number of assists in this division last
season. Hes more than capable of threading a pass. But right now the team
is geared around Whittingham

Wheres this don cowie stat come from? The same fantasy land you got the 'conway is the best winger in the division' from.

(more than Whitts I do believe!!)

I cannot believe I ever said Craig Conway was 'THE BEST' winger in this division
... if I did, and you can find it, I'll hold my hands up and have a little chuckle at
my own expense

Like i did when you said we were "sleepwalking towards relegation" Classic!! :ayatollah:

Geez, there is no pleasing some people. 3rd in the league, 2 points off last seasons "superstars" total up to november, a very strong run in the Carling Cup and a team that actually play like a team,Unbeaten in 7 games.

If your this negative about Cardiff now i can just imagine how negative you'd be if Cardiff were bottom of the League and without a win in 7... but there again i think you might just enjoy that !!
