Good on the ball and an eye for an odd diagonal pass or two! Never fails to win a header and strong in the tackle with a handy amount of pace too

I thought Gerrard was a bit iffy at times but that's to be expected after being on the bench for about a month. Hudson will most probably come back and take his place alongside Turner, but we now have 4 more than good enough centre-halves.

yes, grown as games have gone by. Quality now!!! His distribution from the back is top class and can see why Speed wants to get him signed up for wales, imagine him playing those kinds of balls out from the back with Bellamy, Bale, Ramsey and Morrison running on to them... FRIGHTENING!!!

From what I've seen of turner he's got everything needed to be better than Johnson.

Stronger and far better on the ball. In fact TOO comfortable at times, he scared me.

Just a couple f goals 9he scored 4 in about 15 games last season), needed to top it off.

He was faultless yesterday, which was just as well as Gerrard had a bit of an off-day with some of his positioning and tackle timing. Fair play to AG though he never let it get to him and fought hard, playing a few tidy balls himself and doing well in the air.

Agree with most of the above. I had him down as my MOM yesterday (wasn't surprised Super Kev got picked though)
Turner seemed to relish being the main man at the back with Hudson out, and looks as though he is future captain material.
Didn't put a foot wrong yesterday and led by example. It seems Malky has a very good eye for young players with big potential.

Its sometimes easy to forget that Forest have some very dangerous
players in their side. They started shite under McLaren but have been
putting the victories together lately.

If you take Coventry (still a point picked up away from home) out of the
equation...

Leeds, Derby, Reading, Palace and now Forest were all on very good runs until
they played us.

Thats promotion form!! Sooner than being the achilles heel in the side, this
defence is now the foundation and the rock behind a very good side. Turner
has made a massive contribution
