Everyone seems to be ignoring this one fact!

WE ARE AN IMPROVING SIDE

With all the talk of no loans in and questioning of wether the malaysians are getting cold feet or not people seem to be ignoring whats happening right in front of their very eyes. The current team are IMPROVING week by week.mpnth by month. The general concensus at the start of the season was the current crop of players would secure a healthy mid-table position by the end of the season and as long as they showed passion, guts and commitment we would be more than happy to follow them.I put it to you all that if the Cardiff team of today were to play the cardiff team that beat West Ham on the opening day of the season, todays team would win well. With where we are today how much more would this squad have to improve to win the league.5%?,10%?My own view is that if they were up their results by about 10% overall we'll get promoted automaticaly,15% will make us champions. Now given that this side is much is much improved since the start of the season is there any more improvement to come even without additions? From where I'm standing YES

And I am loving my football for the first time in years, I am back to getting excited again about going to the matches.

100% behind Malky :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Just hope come Winter, with injuries and suspensions are squad is strong enough to cope. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I am in absolutely no doubt that we are a team in tranistion and that Malkay Mackay is working his bollocks off to build a team here. The fact that we are punching above our weight at the moment is the main reason why so many fans are getting the feeling of being back in love with the club.

But we need to remember we cannot win every game and whilst I absolutely want to win today if we lose I will applaud every player off the field and Malkay before he leaves pitchside because I know they will give everything for the shirt.

Great post, I totally agree with u. The trouble is, Malky and his team have gone beyond expectations of most if not all of us. Exciting times ahead and I think we will be ok with what we got. I'm not at all upset or bemused about having no loan signings in, I'm quite happy to know that unlike last year, we are not loaning players just to keep the fans happy.
Come on City, 3 points today please.

I do so much agree with you that our side now! Is better than opening day when we played WH, would we be them again now ! That I'm not sure of. Yes we have improved but, WH were not at there best when we played them, and they have also gone from strength to strength. I'm not saying we would loose, but we would fined it a very very hard game this time.

Also like Annis every Friday night we are off to bed early so we can be up early and get the most out of the day.
I'm sure with just a couple of new quality faces in , the other teams around and above us will shit there selfs.
Now off to the match and another 3 points :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Not sure as the opening day team would have the might Rudy hovering on the bench ;)

Every fan in the world says the same, I just wish we could get a rew more players incase of injury or suspensions.

The problem is, that is not easy and affordable for every club to have a massive squad, and it is also not easy to keep quality players happy sitting on a bench, unless you can pay them shit loads like Man City

A brave statement that.

I dont know if its me or not but I'm just waiting for us to burst our bubble. Perhaps it is the years watching the Dave Jones eras of a bad month that became a couple of bad months play, perhaps its the dreaded bottling it at the end and perhaps that is why I feel like this.

In those years of Dave Jones I use ot study other teams with younger managers, the new type of leader. MM was one of them at Watford as well as the likes of Nigel Clough, Nigel Pearson and one or two others. For MM we had the freak result of beating them 4-0 at their ground. MM was just starting out then but when he brought his team to CCS they played some great football, tried right until the end and scored a classic goal. Although we beat them 3-1 you could see they could be a team pushing for promotion the following season.

Well that season came along and they have some terrific results like beating the eventual league winners QPR 3-0 at Loftus Road, stuffed Millwall 6-1 at the Den and totally embarrised us 4-1 at their ground just after last Christmas. Unfortunately for MM he had quite a few loan players in and lost them all about a month later. Under that situation Watford could not continue their push for promotion and his team faded away.

I just felt if he could have kept his squad together his team would have been easily in a play off position and perhaps the favourites to win it. All those problems he had at Vicarage Road he does not have here at CCS. As I said I am waiting for our bubble to burst but then I think of MM time at Watford as described above and I should not be thinking like that.

Interesting times ahead.
