I can't comment on either of those matches because I wasn't at them but the games that I've been to that contrasted most for me this season were Ipswich and Southampton.

Ipswich was much too quiet for much of the match which contributed to two of their goals as far as I'm concerned. It was only the controversy of Chopra's goal that caused the stadium to erupt which I think helped the team get the draw.

Whereas at Southampton I felt that the atmosphere was too boisterous and it gave me the impression that everyone thought we had the game in the bag and Southampton would just roll over, which I think contributed to conceding the goal.

Missed both but I would say we have always been louder away from home rather than home, even before we moved into the stadium.

Thats cos all the fans are all together, like they can be in the canton. Simples.

And a section in the Ninian out of consideration for the many loyal fans who wish to stand without suffering the punishment of exile to the Canton.

Thats not what this thread is all about Chief. Just a two answer poll. All it needs is an answer and if you want put your reason you can .

Can easily be rearranged to suit everyone, as I have stated elsewhere. I actually agree, people have the right to sit with an unobstructed view - however in the interest of fairness, it should work both ways.

Staggering that 4 posters prefer the atmosphere we had against Palace to what we had on Saturday :? God they must be boring as feck

Re: Atmosphere POLL

from about the 55th minute the atmosphere against palace was quite good but our away support is brilliant.i'd love everyone standing in 116 and 117 which most of them want to and the canton and family stand switched. all the fans that want to sit can be in the family section which will be where the canton stand is now and in 112 and 113 etc of the ninian. oh and not forgetting the grandstand.
people moan about fans that want to sit...if some of the fans ideas were put in place, there would be around 15,000 seats available to sit in and have a good view. stop moaning.
if we all stood where we wanted, the atmosphere wouldnt be hostile, it would just be a lot better with more banter. we're a laughing stock atm.

Anyone causing trouble in a stadium these days would have to be mad. so swapping family with canton end is a good idea.

the atmosphere will be back to how it should be..

im in the family stand with my boy, try hard to sing and get the kids going...i would love it if we switched over to the canton and you guys come over making it a better atmosphere, i used to be in lower Grandstand Block A for years and it was the best, Then 2 years in the ninian standnow family stand, we need to get the crowds going not for 1 or 2 games for the season

4 people voted for home games like the palace game when they out noised us the whole game who are these fans,im guessing then its the guy with the wife and anything more than clapping there moaning or giving others stares who also comes to 2games a season and started supporting city the fa cup final year

Why would swapping grange and canton improve the atmosphere?? They're both behind the goals??

It's to do with the acoustics, its a techical explanation which is probably beyond your understanding ;)
