Five arrested and two in hospital after kebab house stabbing

An early-morning stabbing incident at a Cardiff kebab house has put two men in hospital and sparked five arrests - police have today confirmed.
One man is understood to have been stabbed in the back during the alleged attack at the Ely Kebab House in Grand Avenue, Cardiff.
Ambulances were called at shortly before 1am today and transported the stabbed man and another man to the University of Hospital of Wales, although the extent of their injuries remain unknown.
Police confirmed they had arrested five men in connection with the attack.
A South Wales police spokeswoman said: “We did attend a call at 12.40am yesterday morning in Grand Avenue, Cardiff.
“We had two casualties conveyed to hospital and we have got five people in custody – five males have been arrested.”
A duty control manager for the ambulance service said: “I can confirm at 00.48 hours we received an emergency call to the Ely Kebab House where one male was stabbed in the back.
“We responded with two ambulances, one basic doctor response unit and two persons were transported to the Heath hospital.”
