Think he is a terrific player and is turning out to be my favourite. I believe MM is using him to his best ability and there is a lot more to come out of him. He is considered a play maker but there are other attributes to his game that a lot of us don't noitce such as his high rate of covering the field and getting the tackles in. Tackles people might say, yes tackles because one of his great skills is getting a tackle in without risking getting booked. Anyone can go in 2 footed and hopefully come out without penalised. Whittingham well when has he been booked when he has come away with the ball?

Peter does not get the recognition he deserves because he is not a showman out of play. The semi final play off goal against Leicester is about the only time he has let his emotions out. He scored right in front of us and he was sucked in by our celebrations. I think we can forgive for that one.

Whittingham is a very rare breed indeed, he is a player who had the luxury of time to establish himself in the Cardiff side and adjust to life in the Championship.

However, we now seem to be reaping the benefit.

Like most others when he first came I was scratching my head thinking "we have signed a duff" but then out of the blue he produced an amazing second half performance in a game against Colchester. Trailing 1-0 at half-time legend has it that Dave Jones had to leave due to a domestic crisis involving his daughter and Terry Burton took over. Whitts came out blazing and almost single handily took Colchester apart as the Bluebirds stormed to a 4-1 win.

Jones seemed to spend most of the rest of his managerial time at Cardiff trying to replicate what Burton did with Whitts and in general got mixed results.

However, Malky seems to have hit the ground running with our No. 7 and IMO he is well on the way to being voted the best player in the league.
