There's a Holiday Inn that does matchday parking in it's car park for a fiver - bar there as well. It's quite good, except for the massive queues of traffic after the match

Plenty of safe street parking if you are early enough take a right at the first roundabout and past the holiday inn. :ayatollah:

Best place to park (free) and get something to eat and drink is

http://www.crowncarveries.co.uk/find-us ... edown.html

I live in Reading and when I have had to go straight to work after the recent years evening matches that is where I park.
Always a mixed group of home and away supporters in there

Gareth it is about a 10 minute walk straight across the road from the pub down Bennett Road that brings you down to the Mad Stad, after the match walk back to the pub and the traffic would have calmed down.

Why mess about with the parking near to the ground then, Meet me and the boys in the town centre prior to the match, your Mrs can go shopping we can then have a drink or two ;) then get the bus from the station to the ground and after get the bus back into town, sorted.

Sounds like a good plan-I'll let u know. I'm meant to be playing golf 1st thing and was meant to get to Reading by 1.45-2pm. Will see weather forecast and check whether i can bring forward my tee time.

I drove last season, dog track next to the ground that can be used for parking, it's no drama at all
