When I was young I purposly didnt apply to jobs with Saturday work. However for many with families and high mortgages etc you can understand work comes first. But given todays economic climate and the job market a possible job offer even doing Saturday work I would take it. You'll always have midweek matches and could always book the odd saturday half day once youve a foot in the door. So after my ramble I would say take the job

cheers again mate, i've decided to take the job really need the money. I understand that jobs for people family take priority over City. I figured it out i'm only missing four games until they end my contract anyway with Reading being on a bank holiday in January and Blackburn being on a Tuesday. But I'm hoping i can still make the second half if i can't loan my ST.![]()
Cheers guys you've been a great help

I remember quing for I think Leeds (fa cup) game. Got to the ground with my mate at about 8 am. The que was spiralling around the ground! I was due to start work at 1030am! Qued till about 930 and the fecker hadn't moved. Drastic action was needed so I rang my now x wife and said can you ring in sick for me? She said feck off and sort your own problems out!!!! There was no way I was leaving the que so I rang work and told them I had a massive nose bleed and it won't stop. I used to get the nose bleeds quite often so this was believable!! Or it would have been if my x wife hadn't felt sorry for me and rang my work to tell them I had a bad migraine and wouldn't be coming in today

It was funny as everytime we scored work would ring to try to find out where I was! Obviously there was no way I could answer the phone!
Another occasion I left earlier than I should of for Bristol away and spent the whole game shitting and thinking I never had a job to go back too! It was weird as normally I am punctual and a bit of a yes person in work but when it comes to the city I can be a right skiving b*stard! Even as far as locking myself in the work toilets to listen to radio Wales![]()
