Poles have every right to live over here being part of the EU in the same way that you could go over there or any other EU country to work if you wanted.
Living and working in the south of england I meet many of these poles, most of which work hard at doing the sort of menial jobs that alot of the native population don't want to do.
Maybe we need to look at our own work ethic first, if there were no jobs for the poles to do, most of them probably wouldn't come.

I know a Polish woman who does exactly that. She's got kids that she claims for and they've never set foot in the UK.

Regards this bullshit about work ethic. We have employment laws in this country regards minimum wages and maximum hours you can work. So either we all follow these laws or we don't. It seems to me that the government are very good at turning a blind eye to people working for less than minimum wage and for long hours.
For instance, those Chinese people who were killed picking cockles very illegally. Did the government think those cockles picked themselves? Or maybe the gang runners had magic sacks that filled themselves and that's all they had to do was take these magic sacks every day and exchange them for lots of tax free money!
I'll give you another example that everyone will also know about. There's an Asian bloke who works in my corner shop, which is Asian owned. He can't speak much English but he's there from first thing in the morning til late at night, 7 days a week. Yes he's got a great work ethic but he's breaking the law regarding number of hours he works in a week, simple as. Laws are there for a reason and either we have laws or we don't. But if we do then we should at least measure everyone by those laws. What happens here is politicians brag about how cheap foreign workers are. Yes they are, they are breaking the fooking law that's why!
I read somewhere recently that £1 million PER DAY leaks out of the UK and goes to China from illegal activities. Things such as illegal workers, people trafficing etc etc. And whilst all this goes on all our governments can talk about his the people on the dole in this country. People that they put on the dole. Maybe we should put all our politicans on the dole and get Chinese people in to do their jobs. Afterall the people running China are doing a far better job of it than our lot of useless gits are doing running our country.

It's rubbish let's be honest. The figure has been quoted as a 'possible' 150,000 max and that's a possible whereas the 500,000 poles is fact and that's not including other nationalities.

Thats a valid question, even thought your point of view is an IRA one, and as
usual a side swipe at the British Forces

The overwhelming majority of British Males join the Forces because its a relatively
well paid job. (compared to MacDonalds etc) and they get to see the world. May sound
daft to some, but not to others. Some British Males join elite regiments because they
see it as a challenge. You'll be hard pressed to find any who say "im there for my
government and my country"

Go do a survey of bank workers leaving work on a Friday and see how many of them
are doing it because "the Fat Cats care about us"
