John Terry is he being persecuted ?

Wed Nov 09, 2011 8:05 am

It seems a lot of People and the Media love a good story on Racism, But is the Racism card played all to often ? Many People love to call anyone who even question them racists.
Why are the likes of Ian Wright calling for John Terry to be stripped of the England's Captains armband and even be dropped from the National side full stop ?. In this Country your are innocent until proven guilty, some cases to protect the Public the accused is remanded, but the alleged incident is just words. It isn't going to kill harm any one is it ?.

Dont get me wrong i dont like John Terry much but he does not deserve to be treated in this way, on the say so of one Player who did not even hear the original comments himself. Anton Ferdinand in my view is just an attention seeker who would not get the same press on his Footballing skills alone.

If some one said you "f*cking English/ Welsh/ Scottish/ White c**t" then it would not of even been reported. But what is more shocking is the fact the media and the do gooders want Terry to be found guilty even if he is innocent as it proves the fact all white people are Racists. How many times have i heard a Black Boxer or Wrestler say i will not let a White boy beat me. But that is is acceptable as many of these do gooders seem to think its OK to be White but must be embarrassing to be referred to as Black. Now that is Racist.

The likes of Ferdinand and Ian Wright do nothing for the Black community, and just makes them look picky and out to stir trouble. The sad thing is if Terry had punched Ferdinand and broke his Jaw many would consider that to be a lesser offence and the media backlash would of been minimal. People need to get there heads out of there arses and realise there is more important things going on in the World, and if someone called me a name id just call em one back.

Any way which was the offending word ? "You f*cking Black c**t". Being called a c**t that is acceptable obviously :? :? :? :?

i think the only unfair and concern is that how long it is taking it is making it much worse.

a decision should of been made a lot sooner and i think the reason the Fa hasnt is due to his england envolvement.

also the evra suarez racist row is still going on but as its foriegn players we dont seem to care

A decision should of been made within 7 days, the longer this goes on the worse it is for football and makes it a total farce.

totally agree. it does seem he might actually be guilty of this because the eveidence is quite strong. it all depends how much anton pushes it.

i feel JT would get quite a hefty punishment as they will try set the benchmark for future incidents like this

Annis it has been a total farce from the outset. Ferdinand reminds me of a 7 year old who goes running to teacher "Johnny called me a name Miss" Sorry but grow up comes to mind.

I thought Rio was Terry's mate Annis ? Or a case of blood thicker than water. To be fair to Terry even though i don't like him is he aint no Racist. I really hope he is not guilty and then it would meke Ferdinand look like a right tool. The same for Evra as well

What is being totally overlooked is Ferdinand's provocative behaviour in making a comment about Terry's affair with Vanessa Perroncel. That was out of order and it is understandable that JT would react badly in the heat of the moment and probably making what is being perceived as a racist comment.

Black people need to be 'educated' that they can’t rely on the race card when you have lit the fire of confrontation in the first place. If that turns out to be the circumstance I would set a precedent by fining Ferdinand heavily (at least 4 weeks wages) and suspending him for 6 games (without pay), whilst clearing JT of all charges on the grounds of unprofessional behaviour by Ferdinand.

I didnt know that happened Tony. But it is Playground behaviour by Ferdinand. Players winding each other up during a game :o well that's new then

Well that's John Terry's version of what happened. TBH I can see his point, he made a big mistake but is trying to rebuild his marriage and proctect his children from any more damage. He has paid his penance and is putting the whole issue behind him. Ferdinand oversteped the line by using JT's family issues as a 'wind up' and in my mind that is a far worse crime than any so called racist comments.

To a point they have but you still hear them . It's just silly for the media out Terry is racist, when he's playing for a Club and country made up of players of different regions and skin colour. If he was a real racist, it would have come out long before now

It's where you draw the line , We all like singing shit on the English side of the Bridge, same old English always cheating - Does that make us Racists ? Real racism to me is when you think because someone is of a different colour or religion to you, they're not fit to be in the same space as you or do the same Jobs ECT. Not some of the cuff comments

Lewis Hamilton once called some back markers 'monkeys' is he a racist ?. There a great deal of difference between saying something to actually doing something . If Terry was an out and out racist he wouldn't let the likes of Drogba touch him or come near him, only that isn't the case.

The politically correct world has decreed that Racism is an evil thing. vile. Revolting.
stamp it out wherever you see it.

Murder is evil. Rape is evil. Paedophiles are evil.

Calling somebody a name is not.

And thinking you are better than somebody, and hating them because of their skin colour
isnt 'evil' either. Its just ignorant and stupid.

Racists should be allowed their platform to speak, because they have NO case, no argument,
no validity, and can then be shot down in flames as numbskulls.

keeping it underground keeps it alive

Racist is evil , but to me real racism is when because of your colour, race or region you aren't allowed to do the same job, share the same toilets, travel on the same bus, be allowed to vote ECT That to me is real Racism and the people who cry Racist at every opportunity do them self's or the Racism cause no good what so ever imo.

Why is only white people that can be racists ? never mind that the likes of MOBA awards are racist to the extreme and if we had Music of White Origin awards they'll be riots in the streets
