My natural response over the years would have been feck that, but the atmosphere is getting so dull, I think we might need such drastic actions to start getting it going again ????

For what it's worth, the drum which has been used at the Liberty since about March last season improved the atmosphere considerably.

But it also coincided with a great run and now Premier League football so quite how much it improved the atmosphere in itself is probably open to debate, but it definitely improved it.

In the North East corner which as you would sit as an away fan, is in the corner directly to your left. This area pretty is also pretty much a designated standing area as well as no one in that section sits down during the game.

Why would it kill the atmosphere?

There are a lot of new fans at City who are not the traditional type (young or family etc who don't spend the few hours before the game in a pub having banter). They need to get involved and learn to support.
Maybe a gimmick like a drum or a loud hailer will help.
Palace had a main singer plus celtic green brigade and many other teams.
So why not have a fulcrum for fans to get around at CCS and away games.

Times are different know and a lot of people are more reserved -lets give em a helping hand

Never knew you had a drum tbh, well you may have personally but your fitness shouldn't come into it, do you have goal music too?

Have done for years. You must have heard it many times at the Liberty when we were scoring against your lot

My latest memory of the Liberty was Bellamy scoring a worldy against your lot and cannot recall the 'sound of music' that day :D

I'd say give it a go especially on corners. However what would be revolutionary is if we got get 5/6 fans who play instruments and emulate the Barry Horns. They have got Welsh football fans bouncing at the international games and there is no doubt something similair at home games would drive the fans along. Any thing is worth a bash at the moment :ayatollah:

I used to HATE the idea of having a drum, but we can't let away fans carry on taking the piss of our home support. We need something to create some sort of atmosphere and I think a drummer would help a lot. It would make chants last longer as our barmy army chant for example ends very quickly because fans clap quicker and quicker, a drum would keep it steady.

This is Palace singing the "we love you" chant at home games with a drum against us two seasons ago.

I really think it would work. :ayatollah:

no drum its dumb

Re: Drums at the Cardiff City stadium

Well it's either we let our fans keep on singing about two lines of a song before getting quicker and quicker and then so quick you can't breathe let alone sing a song, or we give everybody a metronome so they can learn how to keep time.

Or, a drum.

But no goal music. Never goal music.

And no frigging songs about Swansea. FFS. Really starting to piss me off now that is. How brain dead do you have to be to want to sing about them when they're a league above us? They're an irrelevance to us unless we're playing them, same as every other club. We don't sing about Bristol or Blyth Spartans, do we?

Lets put it like this something has to be done because lets face it the atmosphere at ccs is utter utter shit.I never ever thought i would say that about us but its true we only seem to no about 3 songs and its shit does my head in ever game and does spoil what should be a good day out.

Try the bloody drum anything is better than we have.I sit in the family stand and can here for the most part of the game the away fans singing. They sing your support is f shit and shall we sing a song for you it is shocking and very hard to take.

Drums please do it try anything I say we have to.

Fans come to us because of the intimidating atmosphere and clubs always say its a difficult place to play well not anymore its gone and that is devastating and gutting someone needs to take charge and sort it all out and start now.
