Gareth, They have a massive fan base and very loyal fans.

Yea -strong support considering the choice of teams in yorkshire and manchester and liverpool not too far away.

I still remember the two goals against us in our first year in the Championship.
We battered them but they had two cracks at goal from distance and scored a couple of screamers.
Still, watched the game tonight and they deserved the win IMHO.
Great peno shoot-out for the neutral. (Don't like the blunts anyway, had some lumps and bumps from the police coming out of The Alan Lamb stand once) The time we lost 5-3 up there.

I used to watch them in the late 70s as I was at University up there. I, too, have a soft spot for them.

I notice they still get gates of 10,000 despite being near the bottom of league 2. Do you think this is due to the high number of "plastics" they attracted in their Premier league years of 10 years ago?

Just watched the highlights and i was dleighted for them. Div 4 club getting gates of around 10000 and struggling like hell. A mate of mine lives in Cardiff, but is from p there and is a season ticket holder for Bradford, tidy bloke, so I'm pleased for them and him.

Watching that reminded me that our BIG days used to be Hereford, Cheltenham, Bristol Rovers etc.. in the lower leagues, and 13000 for us vs Jacks in the Freight Rover Trophy in the rain.

Yes I do, def great bunch. They were a good laugh and I have some good friends up there.

They are getting awesome crowds down in League 2. I keep an eye on crowds down there and League 1 thinking who would be a good bet to get up to our level and get some big crowds?

Sorry too ruin your post. But it's only an hour away. It isn't meaningless, the paint trophy is big too some people.
