My team won, great crowd and atmosphere. However, let me draw your attentions to this.
Last year, we won the cup through a penalty shootout - Ciaran Kelly, the reserve keeper, making only his first or second start of the season, and setting a record in the shoot out of saving 4 penalties.
Imagine the crowds shock as yesterday, the manager pulled a massive surprise by substituting the first choice keeper, Brendan Clarke, in the 119th minute of the match and replacing him with...yeah, you guessed it, Ciaran Kelly.
He saved 2 out of 3 penalties, and Sligo Rovers won the cup again.
Has anyone ever heard of anything like this before?
