totally agree,we even had the R.A.F. present at stadium,poor that no minutes silence

Usually after Ali does his "come on support the boys make some noise" rant, the stadium falls silent for much more than a minute, so I suppose we did have one if you count that

I know there's no game, but IMO doing it a week early is pointless and detracts from the significance of the real date it should be done. 11am on the 11/11 is the appropriate time, not 3pm on the 5/11.

Craig, I totally agree. One minute's silences at football games are becoming too gimmicky for me. Unless it is Remembrance Day itself or a club related tragedy/ national tragedy, one minute's silence, applause etc should not be done at football matches.
I have no problem with us not having a minute's silence and was quite surprised to see other teams do it. 11/11 is the day, and doing it before just seems like people do it to make themselves look better which is totally the wrong reason to have it.

every player in the leagues played with a poppy on their shirt,so obviously the intention was to remeber,so why no minutes silence,very poor
