INTERNATIONAL BREAK COME AT THE RIGHT TIME ?

Sun Nov 06, 2011 1:55 pm

For me its a bit of yes and no , ok it gives us time to get our injured players fit , but at a time when we are hitting good form im thinking why now ? Suppose its a 50/50 situation for me any other views on this ? :ayatollah:

I have a feeling Mackay will soon have the lads switched on and ready to rumble once
the International break is over. I think its an ideal time for us. Turner has been immense
since putting on that Blue shirt but he's been out for quite some time with injury and
the break wont do him any harm. Mason is a young lad and has played a lot of football
lately, we'll get Rudy back soon too. Providing there are no injuries whilst the lads are
playing for their countries I think this break comes at a good time

ideal for us running such a small squad helps with those niggling little injuries the players are carrying.

All three international breaks have come at a good time for us, especially the one after the game at Hull. The players were out on their feet. This one is welcome too. Last week was very tough, but 7 out of 9 points was excellent. Chance for the players to rest. Even the ones going away with their countries will benefit. Change as good as a rest, and all that. There was an interview with Whitts in the Barnsley programme, and he just confirmed that he uses the time for re-charging the batteries. Having said that though, if Bothroyd was good enough for England last season, what about Whitts this season. He did play for the U-21s. :ayatollah:

agree with rhys...

if we had another midweek or weekend game i feel we wouldnt perform like we have... go into the break on a high, reflect on what worked well and take it into the next game after the break...
