The last 10 minutes is when we started to take charge of the game. Unfortunately the singing gets better and louder the better we play. Ive noticed this quite a bit. :o :o

The atmosphere in the first have and most of the second was embarrassing but when we get going its good.We only ever sing the same few chants there are loads of old songs that have got lost why this has happend is to me somehow to do with the new stadium. We used to be the best now its poor gutting.

They will never change ends, from a stewarding, costs, and safety point of view this subject has been done to death. I totally wish it would happen though! The singing would become more competitive like at the old Grange end. I am in the Canton and constantly try and start a chant but never catches on, that only seems to happen at the back where it seems most of the singers are located.

Re: no singing in the singing section?

Im at the back of the Canton and managed to get a few songs going myself, and also the first half was hard work, but in the second half! wow, was like a different match! We were a different team and a different crowd, I guess the determination from both us, and the players rubbed off on each other.... the 2nd half where I was was excellent! :ayatollah: Just a shame the whole ground isn't one and the same. Otherwise the place would be rocking.....

'Sing when we,re winning'
'We only sing when we're winning'.....

The place is a joke. - sorry merlin but apart from a very small section at back of canton - it looked poor in canton.
I sing on my own in the ninian and refuse to become the quiet majority.

We need to bring this atmoshpher to the attention of the club.

We are a laughingstock. I want a section in ninian stand as well as canton as there's enough of us in there scattered about.

Come on Club - Take a survey of seat numbers for singing fans as they come in on turnstiles and do a SEAT SWAP FOR CITY campaign

That's the problem people in the family end moan how shit it is yet they don't join in, the whole stadium needs to join in for it to be rocking!!

So your advocating people in the family section singing songs like "Oh Engler-land is full of shit"?!

I'm in row II (back but one) of 105. We sing pretty much all game. Just not many rows carry on. We have one guy, not sure his name, but he is our leader. Up down turn around

the people in the family stand do sing but it isnt us who are allowed to stand up all game in the so called singing section. plus its us who get all the shit for the stadium being like a morgue by the away fans.. everyone were told if you want to sing and possibly stand up then get tickets for the canton stand so why is it so quiet and embarresing??

When discussing the Stadium set-up, in my view it's about what sort of club we want be. Do we want to be a family club with lots of youngsters and women in the crowd (which is what I and I think most supporters want) or a nasty club where enjoyment is derived from surrounding the opposing supporters and insulting them for most of the game.
The atmosphere (as at Anfield for example) would improve if all the singers/standers were at one end - the Canton.
We have had games at CCS where the atmosphere has been great - not often enough, but it can be done.

Obviously not no, there are plenty of other songs that people can join in.

Not everyone in the Canton joins in, there are allot of people who just don't want to join in.

I agree but it shouldn't be like that. It seems that we need the team to wake us up but we, as a crowd, should always be the ones to inspire the team

I am in the family stand and generally the atmosphere is poor all the time. Even when the Canton and Ninian start songs with most singing it does not sound "deafening" so to speak. Personally I think the family stand should not be next to the away fans, we have at every game the away fans mock us and at times I do wonder if the away fan realises they are next to a family stand as some of them try there best to provoke. I take my 4 year old boy and would prefer to be away from the away fans due to the language (our fans included) - After this season I will see if the club is able to move us away from the "away" fans to the opposite end of the family stand.

This /\/\/\/\/\/\ is the way forward. The club will only switch ends if people in the family stand say they are uncomfortable next to the away fans (which I would be if my boys were with me and I was sitting on the end). The club dont care about the canton end type of fans apart from putting on some shitty bands with the music turned up to 11.

We only have ourselves to blame!!! It's Like people are nervous to start a song!!

I don't give a f**k! I start a song if no one joins in then I am a bit  but f**k it I will try again and it catches on!!

Why is it though that when your away all those nerves are gone!! Must be the bow!!

Thanks to city for allowing a standing and singing section but why the f**k don't we make the most of it!!!

This would be the way foward, the family end should sign a petition or something let the club know there concerns! Just out of interest did you go to the Southampton game? That was proberly the best atmosphere we've had this season so if you were in the family end and its still sounded Crap then its down to the type of stadium.

If 22,000 had been at Ninian Park, 4th v 5th and we played like yesterday it would of been bouncing.
They should not have moved people out of the Ninian Stand.

Re: no singing in the singing section?

Sun Nov 06, 2011 7:32 pm

Should make row H upwards of 117 and 118 standing, and swap family with canton.

They won't though, the club is playing a shitty long term business strategy. Their intention is to keep our Ninian stand for selling to plastics and dry shites - push anyone who wants to be passionate down to the shite seats in the Canton, where no ''daytripper'' fans will want to go.
